Today our class took part in an African Drumming Session. Austin and Jimmy from EA Music Service taught us about the origins of the djembe drum and the different styles of playing. We used base, tone and slap to create different rhythms. We were able to add in some African songs about a cuckoo. Thanks to Jimmy and Austin for such a fun morning!
