This week we celebrated Anti-Bullying Week. The theme for the week was ‘Choose Respect’. We participated in an activity or event every single day to remind ourselves that when respect and kindness thrives in our lives, we are much happier and safer. On Tuesday we had Odd Socks Day to celebrate what makes us all unique. All lessons this week were aiming to empower our young people to NOT resort to bullying, even when we disagree. We listened to songs, completed worksheets, read/ listened to stories, discussed bullying, watched Newsdesk and participated in Hip Psychology’s workshop which detailed the types of bullying, what we can do to help and how we can resolve conflict by sharing perspectives, listening and problem solving to find a solution. We had a great time learning about this issue and realising that our choices have consequences.
