Bee Safe in P7
Today Primary seven went along to Banbridge Parish Centre where they took part in a Police and Community Safety Partnership workshop called “Bee Safe!” The children were put into groups and then given talks and activities to do on different themes. They learned about Bus safety (Translink), Home Safety- hazards in the kitchen, Road Safety (PSNI) and the NI Fire and Rescue Service spoke about safety with chargers, extension leads and smoke alarms. The children were urged to find out from their parents the best escape route in their home and a safe room in the event of a fire.
It was an amazing day, the children gained lots of practical tips especially about how to behave on a bus as many of our P7s will be getting a bus to school next year.
Huge thanks to all the team for their hard work and the PCSP goodie bags each child received.
