St Colman's Eco Committee wish to thank the children in school and our families for participating in the Energy Trust's Energy Saving Challenge recently. There was a super response,with our families making every effort to: unplug electrical items when not in use, save water by turning off the tap while brushing our teeth, take a shower instead of a bath, turn down the thermostat and to turn off the lights when leaving a room. The carbon emission savings, made in our homes during Energy Saving Week, amounted to the equivalent weight of 200-300kg worth of CO2. This was a fantastic achievement! Thank you!
As Climate Change has dominated the news headlines in recent times, we all have a responsibility in reducing carbon emissions and greenhouse gases in our environment. We encourage you to keep up your energy saving efforts.
