Today Primary Seven took part in a workshop aimed at tackling any worries or concerns children have about transferring to secondary schools. Carlos from HipPsychology was fantastic with the children. He talked through his own experiences of moving school, his worries and anxieties and how he overcame them. The children were able to ask questions and complete worksheets involving making sense of a secondary school timetable! They were also taught about the need for structure and routine. Having the correct books/equipment with them for class each day and how to manage the different homework activities. Thanks Carlos for your valuable advice. Further work will be done in class towards the end of term. We wish all our P7 children a stress free transition to their new schools in September.
