The children in Primary 3/4 thoroughly enjoyed taking part in the World Book Day activities.
They brought in their favourite book and explained to the rest of the class why they had chosen this book as their favourite. Some children brought in a book which had special significance to them. Finn’s book was one which was given to him when he was a baby. Naomi Lee brought in a book which had been given to her dad when he was a child. Anastazja shared her book ‘The Witches’ in Polish.
The children completed a Code Breaker, Word Search and ‘Design a Book Cover’.
They listened to stories and authors talking about their love of reading and writing shared on the World Book Day Website. As a treat the children enjoyed hot chocolate and chocolate. The children listened to Mrs Mc Nally read a bedtime story before they headed home.
